Honor Award

  • Honor Awards are presented to exemplary students with a demonstrated ability of balancing academic achievement, community service, and leadership.
  • Dependent of Irving Firefighter. Dependent is defined as a biological son or daughter, stepchild, or foster child of qualifying personnel.
  • GPA Minimum 3.0
  • Service Student must demonstrate participation community service.
  • Leadership Applicants has demonstrated interest in serving in a leadership role on their campus or in their community.
  • Participation Award recipients agrees to participate in a Fire Foundation event within one calendar year. If the student cannot participate due to extenuating circumstance the award recipient’s firefighter parent shall attend in their stead.
  • Appreciation Award recipients agree to submit a word of appreciation either via a formal letter, note card, or short 30-60 second video thanking those who have contributed to the scholarship program.

Endurance Award

  • Endurance Awards are presented to students with leadership experience currently facing financial challenges.
  • Dependent of Irving Firefighter. Dependent is defined as a biological son or daughter, stepchild, or foster child of qualifying personnel.
  • Financial Need Student must demonstrate a strong financial need for assistance.
  • Service Student must demonstrate participation community service.
  • Leadership Applicants has demonstrated interest in serving in a leadership role on their campus or in their community.
  • Participation Award recipients agrees to participate in a Fire Foundation event within one calendar year. If the student cannot participate due to extenuating circumstance the award recipient’s firefighter parent shall attend in their stead.

Math & Science Award

The Irving Fire Foundation is proud to present to the staff and employees of the City of Irving the IFF Math & Science Scholarship. 

One (1) student will be selected every fourth year for one (1) four-year scholarship at the University of their choosing. Award year 2016-2020, 2020-2024, etc.

Award consists of $2,500 beginning as a first-year student, increasing to $3,000 for the second year of study, $4,000 in the third year, and $5,500 in the fourth and final year of study.
